Informal meeting of the Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale (Incharge of Foreign Affair Department, BJP) with the African heads of missions and senior officials of Delhi Police






Foreign Affairs Dept of BJP organized an informal get-together with Mission Heads of various African countries along with senior officials of Delhi Police with an objective to further strengthen the bond between India & African countries and also to discuss about the recent unfortunate instances of attacks on some African students happened in Delhi.


The event was attended by the High commissioners of Kenya, Uganda, Ethoipia, Congo and the political counsellor of South Africa and Second counsellor of Rwanda. BJP National spokesperson Shri Sudhanshu Trivedi and Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale (Incharge, foreign affairs department, BJP were also present on this occasion.

In his Opening remarks, Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale welcomed all the dignitaries and reassured all the representatives of African missions that relationship between Africa & India is stronger than ever. He also said that BJP condemns such instances in the strongest possible way and any attempt to disturb harmony between the two nations will not be spared either by the government or by the Police authorities as well as or by the people of India.

Dr. Chauthaiwale also informed about the past and upcoming visits of Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Honourable President Pranav Mukherjee & Honourable Vice President Hamid Ansari to various African countries with the purpose to strengthen the bilateral relations and brotherhood between both the countries.

All the heads of African missions too appreciated prompt action and efforts of Delhi police and Indian government in response to recent tragic attacks on African students. They also reaffirmed strong India Africa relations and expressed confidence that they will be further strengthened in near future.

Later, Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police Mr. R P Upadhyay also reiterated commitment to safety and security of each African citizen in Delhi and also described various measures taken by Delhi police to build the confidence.

At the end, Mr. Sudhanshu trivedi, National spokesperson, BJP, in his closing remarks said that India is the country which respect all the humans equally regardless of religion, race and colour because Indians belong to a culture which believes in the message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”means “whole world is one Family”. He also reassured all the African heads of the missions that after the HPM Narendra Modi upcoming visit to African countries, the golden era of Indo-Africa relations is yet to come.
